In July 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Luna de octubre by Alice Rahon. The »bidding war« ended at USD 106,250.00 (€ 90,241.21), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alice Rahon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Los Cuatro Hijos Del Arco Iris in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 512,000.00 (€ 455,881.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Luna de octubre von Alice Rahon zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 106.250,00 (€ 90.241,21) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alice Rahon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Los Cuatro Hijos Del Arco Iris im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 512.000,00 (€ 455.881,04).
