Sold at the upper estimate price
In July 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Ginny Williams Collection: Part II, which included the work Wages Of War by Alfredo Ramos Martínez. The auction ended at the price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,739.94), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfredo Ramos Martínez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers of Mexico in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 4,072,000.00 (€ 3,011,834.32).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Ginny Williams Collection: Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wages Of War von Alfredo Ramos Martínez zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.739,94) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfredo Ramos Martínez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers of Mexico im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.072.000,00 (€ 3.011.834,32).
