In September 2016 Artcurial held the auction Vincent Wapler Collection, which included the work Terra Non Descoperta - 1991 by Alfredo Jaar. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 45,500.00 52% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alfredo Jaar; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Refugee (Water) sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of USD 60,000.00 (€ 56,721.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 52 % übertroffen
Im September 2016 führte Artcurial die Auktion Vincent Wapler Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Terra Non Descoperta - 1991 von Alfredo Jaar zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 45.500,00 und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Alfredo Jaar; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Refugee (Water) im November 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 56.721,50).
