Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Gold In The Morning by Alfredo Jaar was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2015. Here, the upper estimate of USD 22,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,500.00 (€ 21,302.78). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfredo Jaar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Refugee (Water), which sold at auction in November 2016 for USD 60,000.00 (€ 56,721.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Gold In The Morning von Alfredo Jaar kam im November 2015 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 22.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.500,00 (€ 21.302,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfredo Jaar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Refugee (Water) beobachtet, die im November 2016 für USD 60.000,00 (€ 56.721,50) versteigert wurde.
