Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alfred William Strutt could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work The angry visp changed hands for GBP 587.50 (€ 1,004.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred William Strutt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A watched pot never boils in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 37,600.00 (€ 59,600.63).
