Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Folio of Unframed Pencil And Black Chalk Studies of Animals Including Lions, Dogs, Cattle And Sheep, And Various Landscape And Portrait Sketches, All By The Same Hand (One Illustrated) by Alfred William Strutt was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006. The price achieved of GBP 384.00 (€ 570.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred William Strutt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A watched pot never boils in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 37,600.00 (€ 59,600.63).
