Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2005 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER, which included the work Two Horses And A Goat In A Stable by Alfred Wheeler. The price achieved of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,135.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Wheeler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diamond Jubilee with jockey up by a post in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 9,799.00 (€ 15,344.73).

Im März 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Horses And A Goat In A Stable von Alfred Wheeler zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 780,00 (€ 1.135,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Wheeler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diamond Jubilee with jockey up by a post im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.799,00 (€ 15.344,73).
