Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sail Boat by Alfred Wallis was auctioned at Bonhams in London in June 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 22,750.00 (€ 26,509.66). Admittedly, works by Alfred Wallis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work St Ives Bay With Godrevy in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 145,250.00 (€ 180,975.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sail Boat von Alfred Wallis kam im Juni 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 22.750,00 (€ 26.509,66) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Wallis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit St Ives Bay With Godrevy im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.250,00 (€ 180.975,11).
