A top price for Alfred Rankley - as previously expected
In December 2010 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work The Benediction by Alfred Rankley. The price achieved of GBP 58,850.00 (€ 68,265.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Benediction is the most expensive artwork by Alfred Rankley that we have observed at auctions so far.
