In January 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The Village Church by Alfred Rankley. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,810.39), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Rankley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Benediction in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 58,850.00 (€ 68,265.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Village Church von Alfred Rankley zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.810,39) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Rankley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Benediction im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 58.850,00 (€ 68.265,82).
