Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation, which included the work Old Schoolfellows by Alfred Rankley. The price achieved of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 66,801.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Other works by Alfred Rankley have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2010 the work The Benediction was auctioned for GBP 58,850.00 (€ 68,265.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation durch, in der auch die Arbeit Old Schoolfellows von Alfred Rankley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 66.801,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Alfred Rankley konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2010 die Arbeit The Benediction für GBP 58.850,00 (€ 68.265,82) versteigert.
