This artwork by Alfred R. Mitchell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. In the California Art auction, the work Emerald Cove, La Jolla sold for USD 28,050.00 (€ 27,172.33) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alfred R. Mitchell; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sunset glow sold at auction in August 2018 with the realized price of USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,897.90).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred R. Mitchell erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California Art wurde die Arbeit Emerald Cove, La Jolla für USD 28.050,00 (€ 27.172,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Alfred R. Mitchell; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sunset glow im August 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 53.897,90).
