In the California Art auction, the work Emerald Cove, La Jolla sold for USD 28,050.00 (€ 27,172.33) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alfred R. Mitchell; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sunset glow sold at auction in August 2018 with the realized price of USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,897.90).
