This artwork by Alfred R. Mitchell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August last year. In the California Art auction, the work Echo Lake (Sierra Nevada Mountains) sold for USD 5,355.00 (€ 5,320.42) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred R. Mitchell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset glow in August 2018 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,897.90).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred R. Mitchell erzielte im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California Art wurde die Arbeit Echo Lake (Sierra Nevada Mountains) für USD 5.355,00 (€ 5.320,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred R. Mitchell erzielen.
