Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alfred R. Mitchell could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the California Art auction, the work Boats at Harbor changed hands for USD 2,295.00 (€ 2,223.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred R. Mitchell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset glow in August 2018 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,897.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred R. Mitchell konnte im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California Art wechselte die Arbeit Boats at Harbor für USD 2.295,00 (€ 2.223,19) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred R. Mitchell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset glow im August 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 53.897,90).
