Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled by Alfred Manessier was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,024.00 (€ 2,671.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Manessier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Soir d'été dans la Baie de Somme - 1947 in June this year with an auction result of EUR 223,040.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled von Alfred Manessier kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.024,00 (€ 2.671,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Manessier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Soir d'été dans la Baie de Somme - 1947 im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 223.040,00.
