Alfred Manessier (1911-1993) Fin avril signé et daté 'Manessier 68' (en bas à gauche); signé des initiales, titré et daté '“FIN AVRIL”. Ma 68' (sur le châssis) huile sur toile 100 x 81 cm. Peint en 1968. signed and dated 'Manessier 68' (lower left); signed with the initials, titled and dated '“FIN AVRIL”. Ma 68' (on the stretcher) oil on canvas 39 3 ⁄ 8 x 31 7 ⁄ 8 in. Painted in 1968.
Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fin avril by Alfred Manessier was auctioned at Christies in Paris in December this year. The price achieved of EUR 12,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Manessier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Soir d'été dans la Baie de Somme - 1947 in June this year with an auction result of EUR 223,040.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fin avril von Alfred Manessier kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Manessier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Soir d'été dans la Baie de Somme - 1947 im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 223.040,00.
