Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sunset, Wind River by Alfred Jacob Miller was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 325,000.00 (€ 291,505.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alfred Jacob Miller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pawnee Running a Buffalo in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,405,478.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sunset, Wind River von Alfred Jacob Miller kam im Mai 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 325.000,00 (€ 291.505,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Jacob Miller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pawnee Running a Buffalo im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.565.000,00 (€ 1.405.478,22).
