Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work After The Battle: The Scalp Lock by Alfred Jacob Miller was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2019. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 87,500.00 (€ 78,482.38). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Jacob Miller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pawnee Running a Buffalo in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,405,478.22).
