Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 16,062.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Henry Maurer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Woman In White in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 590,500.00 (€ 410,754.03).
