The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,126.00 (€ 12,724.90), 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alfred F. de Prades have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Robert the Devil with Jockey up on a racecourse in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 89,625.00 (€ 95,968.52).

Die Arbeit The jockeys' enclosure von Alfred F. de Prades wurde im November 2002 in der Auktion SPORTING ART bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.126,00 (€ 12.724,90) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred F. de Prades auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Robert the Devil with Jockey up on a racecourse im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 89.625,00 (€ 95.968,52).
