Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alfred F. de Prades could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny auction, the work Mr. Martinson'S Nancy, F. Marson Up, J. Marson And A Groom (After A Painting By Harry Hall) changed hands for USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,591.51) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred F. de Prades achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Robert the Devil with Jockey up on a racecourse in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 89,625.00 (€ 95,968.52).
In der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny wechselte die Arbeit Mr. Martinson'S Nancy, F. Marson Up, J. Marson And A Groom (After A Painting By Harry Hall) für USD 4.688,00 (€ 3.591,51) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00.
