Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Swings by Alfred Daniels was worth GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,336.87) to a buyer in February 2007. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alfred Daniels; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Italian Card Party sold at auction in March 2009 with the realized price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 8,761.59).

Die Arbeit Swings von Alfred Daniels war einem Käufer im Februar 2007 GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.336,87) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Alfred Daniels; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Italian Card Party im März 2009 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 8.761,59).
