Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Christies in Paris held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, which included this untitled work by Alfred Basbous. The price achieved of GBP 6,930.00 (€ 8,030.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred Basbous have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sensual in November this year with an auction result of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 58,402.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alfred Basbous zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.930,00 (€ 8.030,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Basbous auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sensual im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 58.402,64).
