Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alfred Basbous achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2021. In the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction, the work Symphony sold for GBP 15,120.00 (€ 17,913.12) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Basbous - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sensual, which sold at auction in November this year for GBP 50,400.00 (€ 58,402.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred Basbous erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East wurde die Arbeit Symphony für GBP 15.120,00 (€ 17.913,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Basbous mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sensual beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für GBP 50.400,00 (€ 58.402,64) versteigert wurde.
