Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Standing Figure by Alfred Basbous was sold in the Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in March 2019. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,945.49). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Basbous - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sensual, which sold at auction in November this year for GBP 50,400.00 (€ 58,402.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Standing Figure von Alfred Basbous wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.945,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Basbous mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sensual beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für GBP 50.400,00 (€ 58.402,64) versteigert wurde.
