Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures, which included the work Playmates by Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville. The price achieved of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,425.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A basket of apples, pears, oranges, lemons, a bowl of grapes and an earthenware pot on a stone ledge; and Whitecurrants and redcurrants in a basket, a bowl of cherries, asparagus and a brass cooking pot on a draped ledge, which sold at auction in December 2010 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,874.97).
Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A basket of apples, pears, oranges, lemons, a bowl of grapes and an earthenware pot on a stone ledge; and Whitecurrants and redcurrants in a basket, a bowl of cherries, asparagus and a brass cooking pot on a draped ledge beobachtet, die im Dezember 2010 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.874,97) versteigert wurde.
