Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Drinking Kittens by Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A basket of apples, pears, oranges, lemons, a bowl of grapes and an earthenware pot on a stone ledge; and Whitecurrants and redcurrants in a basket, a bowl of cherries, asparagus and a brass cooking pot on a draped ledge, which sold at auction in December 2010 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,874.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Drinking Kittens von Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A basket of apples, pears, oranges, lemons, a bowl of grapes and an earthenware pot on a stone ledge; and Whitecurrants and redcurrants in a basket, a bowl of cherries, asparagus and a brass cooking pot on a draped ledge beobachtet, die im Dezember 2010 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.874,97) versteigert wurde.
