In November 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work The Chapel, Valgaudemard by Alexis Gritchenko. The result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,090.75) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexis Gritchenko have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Open Window, Menton in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 85,006.25).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Chapel, Valgaudemard von Alexis Gritchenko zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.090,75) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexis Gritchenko auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Open Window, Menton im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 67.250,00 (€ 85.006,25).
