This price was achieved in the auction Russian Pictures at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Alexei Danilovich Kivshenko have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work At the Kennel in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 160,971.84).
