In the 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art auction, the work Saving A Shipwrecked Crew; And The Day'S Catch sold for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,024.88) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alexandre-Thomas Francia; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot View of Loch Katrine sold at auction in October 2008 with the realized price of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,153.11).
