In March 2006 Christies in Paris held the auction Dessins Anciens et du 19è Siècle, which included the work Des Voiliers Échoués Sur Une Plage by Alexandre-Thomas Francia. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,920.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexandre-Thomas Francia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View of Loch Katrine in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,153.11).

Im März 2006 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Dessins Anciens et du 19è Siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Des Voiliers Échoués Sur Une Plage von Alexandre-Thomas Francia zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.920,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexandre-Thomas Francia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View of Loch Katrine im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.153,11).
