Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2021 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art, which included the work Bateau À La Dérive Par Vents Forts by Alexandre-Thomas Francia. The price achieved of EUR 975.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre-Thomas Francia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Loch Katrine in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,153.11).

Im Februar 2021 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bateau À La Dérive Par Vents Forts von Alexandre-Thomas Francia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 975,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre-Thomas Francia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View of Loch Katrine im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.153,11).
