In the Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings auction, the work Personnages Près D'Une Cascade Et Retour De Pêche Au Clair De Lune sold for EUR 35,100.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alexandre Jean Noël; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Stormy Mediterranean Coastal Scene With Distressed Fishermen In The Foreground; A Calm Mediterranean Coastal Scene With Fishermen Unloading Their Catch sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of GBP 46,100.00 (€ 58,770.99).
