Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A harbour seen in winter, under a stormy sky by Alexandre Jean Noël was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,623.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre Jean Noël achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Stormy Mediterranean Coastal Scene With Distressed Fishermen In The Foreground; A Calm Mediterranean Coastal Scene With Fishermen Unloading Their Catch in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 46,100.00 (€ 58,770.99).

Die Arbeit A harbour seen in winter, under a stormy sky von Alexandre Jean Noël kam im Dezember 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.057,50 (€ 1.623,32) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
