The work Portrait of Henriette Louise Peterson (1796-1845), wife of Auguste, Baron du Bois de Ferrières, bust-length, in a fur-trimmed red mantle and jewels by Alexandre-Jean Dubois-Drahonet was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2010. It achieved a price of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,074.99), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre-Jean Dubois-Drahonet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Frances Anne Vane, Marchioness of Londonderry (1800-1865), full-length, in peeress's robes decorated with jewels and a tiara, inside Westminster Abbey in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 314,500.00 (€ 386,530.65).
