Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Amélie Du Bois (1803-1891), Wife Of Emile Joseph Frison, Lieutenant General, Aide To King Leopold Ii, Bust-Length, Wearing A Blue Muslin Dress; Portrait Of Henriette Louise Peterson (1796-1845), Wife Of Auguste, Baron Du Bois De Ferrières, Bus by Alexandre-Jean Dubois-Drahonet was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2010. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 12,617.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre-Jean Dubois-Drahonet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Frances Anne Vane, Marchioness of Londonderry (1800-1865), full-length, in peeress's robes decorated with jewels and a tiara, inside Westminster Abbey in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 314,5
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of Amélie Du Bois (1803-1891), Wife Of Emile Joseph Frison, Lieutenant General, Aide To King Leopold Ii, Bust-Length, Wearing A Blue Muslin Dress; Portrait Of Henriette Louise Peterson (1796-1845), Wife Of Auguste, Baron Du Bois De Ferrières, Bus von Alexandre-Jean Dubois-Drahonet wurde im Januar 2010 in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Frances Anne Vane, Marchioness of Londonderry (1800-1865), full-length, in peeress's robes decorated with jewels and a tiara, inside Westminster Abbey i
