Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait Of Amélie Du Bois (1803–91), Wife Of Lt.-Gen. Emile Joseph Frison, Aide To King Leopold Ii, In A Blue Muslin Dress, With Flowers In Her Hair by Alexandre-Jean Dubois-Drahonet was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2018. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,219.82). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre-Jean Dubois-Drahonet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Frances Anne Vane, Marchioness of Londonderry (1800-1865), full-length, in peeress's robes decorated with jewels and a tiara, inside Westminster Abbey in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 314,500.00 (€ 386,530.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of Amélie Du Bois (1803–91), Wife Of Lt.-Gen. Emile Joseph Frison, Aide To King Leopold Ii, In A Blue Muslin Dress, With Flowers In Her Hair von Alexandre-Jean Dubois-Drahonet kam im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion.
