In the The Artist’s Sketchbook: Where Inspiration Finds Form auction, the work Costume Design For A Dandy And An Old Count In Stravinsky'S Petrushka sold for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,854.64) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre Benois achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Revue De La Garde Passée Par L'Empereur Paul Ier Devant Le Château Michel (6 Janvier 1801) in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 482,500.00 (€ 580,624.17).
