Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study of a flower fairy from 'La Belle au Bois Dormant' by Alexandre Benois was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,216.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre Benois achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Revue De La Garde Passée Par L'Empereur Paul Ier Devant Le Château Michel (6 Janvier 1801) in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 482,500.00 (€ 580,624.17).
