Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2009 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Sunlight through the trees by Alexander Shevchuk. The price achieved of GBP 500.00 (€ 539.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Shevchuk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lily Pond, which sold at auction in January 2008 for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,675.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunlight through the trees von Alexander Shevchuk zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 500,00 (€ 539,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Shevchuk mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lily Pond beobachtet, die im Januar 2008 für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.675,68) versteigert wurde.
