This artwork by Alexander Kosolapov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2015. In the Russian Pictures Including Works on Paper by Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov auction, the work Thwip sold for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 37,343.68) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Kosolapov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work McLenin's, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 73,080.00 (€ 85,802.80).

In der Auktion Russian Pictures Including Works on Paper by Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov wurde die Arbeit Thwip für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 37.343,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00.
