This artwork by Alexander Kosolapov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2015. In the Russian Pictures Including Works on Paper by Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov auction, the work Thwip sold for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 37,343.68) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Kosolapov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work McLenin's, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 73,080.00 (€ 85,802.80).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander Kosolapov erzielte im Dezember 2015 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Pictures Including Works on Paper by Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov wurde die Arbeit Thwip für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 37.343,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Kosolapov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit McLenin's beobachtet, die im November 2021 für GBP 73.080,00 (€ 85.802,80) versteigert wurde.
