Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Marlboro Man by Alexander Kosolapov was sold in the Russian Pictures Including Works on Paper by Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov auction at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 17,500.00 (€ 23,764.16), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Kosolapov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work McLenin's, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 73,080.00 (€ 85,802.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Marlboro Man von Alexander Kosolapov wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion Russian Pictures Including Works on Paper by Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 23.764,16) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Kosolapov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit McLenin's beobachtet, die im November 2021 für GBP 73.080,00 (€ 85.802,80) versteigert wurde.
