In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Cotters Saturday Night changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,478.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexander Johnston have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sabbath in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,469.60).
