Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Pictures, which included the work Sunday Morning by Alexander Goudie. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,100.00 (€ 28,112.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Alexander Goudie have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2006 the work Still Life With Fruit And Flowers By Lamplight was auctioned for GBP 21,600.00 (€ 32,120.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunday Morning von Alexander Goudie zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.100,00 (€ 28.112,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Alexander Goudie konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2006 die Arbeit Still Life With Fruit And Flowers By Lamplight für GBP 21.600,00 (€ 32.120,57) versteigert.
