Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Drummer Boy by Alexander Goudie for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,950.27). This price was achieved in the auction Scottish Pictures at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Alexander Goudie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Fruit And Flowers By Lamplight in August 2006 with an auction result of GBP 21,600.00 (€ 32,120.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Drummer Boy von Alexander Goudie für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.950,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Scottish Pictures bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Goudie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life With Fruit And Flowers By Lamplight im August 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.600,00 (€ 32.120,57).
