Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Pictures, which included the work Bellini by Alexander Goudie. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,570.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Goudie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Fruit And Flowers By Lamplight, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 21,600.00 (€ 32,120.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bellini von Alexander Goudie zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.570,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Goudie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life With Fruit And Flowers By Lamplight beobachtet, die im August 2006 für GBP 21.600,00 (€ 32.120,57) versteigert wurde.
