Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bellini by Alexander Goudie was sold in the Scottish Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in May 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 20,900.00 (€ 26,585.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Alexander Goudie have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2006 the work Still Life With Fruit And Flowers By Lamplight was auctioned for GBP 21,600.00 (€ 32,120.57).
