Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale, which included the work White Torso by Alexander Archipenko. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 58,635.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Archipenko achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 1,464,000.00 (€ 2,169,740.45).
