Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction The Hoarder: Part III, which included the work Voyager by Alex Ruthner. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,638.00 (€ 1,953.79). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alex Ruthner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wiesenstück, which sold at auction in February 2016 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,406.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Hoarder: Part III durch, in der auch die Arbeit Voyager von Alex Ruthner zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.638,00 (€ 1.953,79) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alex Ruthner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wiesenstück beobachtet, die im Februar 2016 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.406,88) versteigert wurde.
