Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction The Hoarder Sale, which included the work Moving Shadow by Alex Ruthner. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,068.30), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alex Ruthner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wiesenstück, which sold at auction in February 2016 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,406.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Hoarder Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Moving Shadow von Alex Ruthner zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.068,30) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alex Ruthner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wiesenstück beobachtet, die im Februar 2016 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.406,88) versteigert wurde.
